Marketing & Proposal StudentWhat Youll Be Working On
Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project thatwill allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility while receiving supportfrom an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. Well help you discover your strengths anddevelopment areas in a challenging fun and supportive work environment.
We are seeking a student to join us for a 4 month co-op position starting inJanuary 2026. This position will be based out of Ottawa ON.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various departments for proposal information gathering.
Assist in creating and formatting proposal documents to meet organizational standards.
Coordinate the review process ensuring timely stakeholder feedback.
Conduct market research for relevant proposal content.
Analyze client requirements tailoring proposals to meet specific needs.
Stay informed about industry trends for enhanced proposal competitiveness.
Maintain a comprehensive accurate database of proposal content and marketing content for easy retrieval and reference.
Organize and manage proposal-related files for easy retrieval and reference.
Work closely with subject matter experts to incorporate technical details into proposals.
Communicate effectively with team members for smooth collaboration during proposaldevelopment.
Conduct thorough proofreading and editing for error-free professional-quality proposals profiles and communications.
Assist in developing templates and standard content to streamline future proposalprocesses.
Assist in developing compelling project narratives by collaborating with various departments to gather technical information and transform it into engaging content for proposals project profiles and award submissions.
Assist in creating formatting and editing high-quality proposal documents that meet organizational standards and client requirements.
Assist in creating and tailoring content for various communication channels such as internal SharePoint subsite and internal newsletters.
Capture and organize photography and video content from project sites and team events to build our digital asset library.
Assist in creating digital content strategies and framework for internal communications. (Blog posts spotlights videos infographics etc.)
Provide hands-on assistance for corporate and project-specific events from planning and coordination to on-site support.
Assist the marketing team with branding initiatives including sourcing and coordinating promotional materials (swag).
Who We Need On Our Team
You are currently enrolled in a Marketing Communications or Design related program.
You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship andpossess a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
Ability to forge grow and maintain positive relationships

Residency or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries
