Assisting with office procedures including reception clerical and administrative support within the Department.
Provides key role in customer service responding to inquiries or requests from staff service providers and the general public.
Receives incoming telephone calls direct messages and visitors providing information and/or assistance and directs them as appropriate.
Order and receive medical supplies equipment and office supplies as required.
Receive requested station inventory orders and pick required items for each Paramedic base.
Deliver station inventory orders to each base throughout the County on a weekly basis.
Optimize stations and main inventory stockrooms workflow and layouts.
Rotate supplies that have expiry dates to maximize lifecycle management and reduce spoilage
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with sometimes little notice for requested emergency medical supplies and equipment.
Collect information and prepare required reports.
Provide clerical and administrative support for the Department as delegated including filing word processing data entry.
Ability to work safely with the proper use of P.P.E. for the purpose of cleaning and reprocessing medical equipment.
Comply with provincial and county occupational health and safety legislation regulations policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
Word processing spreadsheet and database application skills preferred.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Varied office experience an asset.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Administrative experience would be an asset
Criminal Records Check with that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire required
