Job Description
Our client in the mining sector is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing logistics corridors particularly to Beira and South Africa and will ensure smooth compliant and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage all import and export logistics operations ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials.
- Coordinate shipments via road rail and sea ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Develop implement and optimize supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain relationships with transporters freight forwarders customs authorities and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on logistics performance including key KPIs costs and turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in all logistics activities.
- Manage logistics staff and ensure proper training and adherence to processes.
- Liaise with mining operations teams to forecast material requirements and plan shipments accordingly.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures and documentation.
- Experience managing logistics corridors particularly to Beira and South Africa.
- Excellent organizational problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of mining sector logistics is highly advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure compliance under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in import/export logistics preferably in the mining sector.
- Proven track record of managing complex supply chains and cross-border operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for transport customs and safety.
