Job Summary

Coactivate is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has professional manners and excellent problem-solving skills to fill the role of IT Support Technician.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A and N certifications (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transport
  • Ability to work independently within a team and under pressure
  • Good understanding of desktop and laptop support printers and peripherals
  • Knowledge of IP phones / VoIP systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support to users onsite and remotely
  • Set up new users and email accounts (Office 365/Outlook)
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with desktops laptops printers and mobile devices
  • Perform software testing and updates on Windows 10/11 environments
  • Handle Office 365 administration and user management
  • Perform basic management on FreePBX systems
  • Add and remove users in Active Directory
  • Manage and resolve IT support tickets within SLA timeframes
  • Deploy maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft products and services:
  • Windows 10 Windows Server
  • Office 365 Microsoft Server
  • SharePoint setup and basic maintenance
  • Install configure and support local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) including:
  • Wireless Access Points
  • VPNs and open network connections
  • Provide hardware support and troubleshooting for computers servers and networking equipment
  • Administer Microsoft infrastructure services (AD DNS DHCP File/Print servers RAS NPS)
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking principles
