Responsible for planning executing and governing assigned IT projects to meet business objectives. Oversees the planning direction and coordination of small to medium-sized technology projects to ensure successful delivery of all project goals. Manages the IT project portfolio and shares responsibility for executing all IT initiatives in collaboration with designated project leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and compile business cases for identified projects in line with the IT project execution methodology.
Define the technical scope and objectives of each project.
Direct and coordinate project team activities to ensure progress stays on schedule and within budget.
Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Review project team status reports and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
Prepare regular project status reports and keep management and stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
Collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders to align resources and achieve project objectives.
Drive benefit realisation to ensure that project outcomes meet the expectations outlined in the business case while ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements.
Manage the overall IT project portfolio and oversee the implementation of all IT projects.
Provide consultative support to IT project leaders to ensure successful project execution through effective use of project methodologies.
Organise and coordinate people and resources to deliver required outputs and meet targets.
Comply with all safety requirements and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Report all safety hazards incidents and accidents to the relevant parties.
Address customer and supplier concerns proactively.
Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety regulations and other applicable regulatory and quality systems.
Align work processes with required quality standards.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelors degree (NQF level 7) in IT or Computer Science or equivalent.
Project Management certification is essential.
