Job Summary
To provide technical support to plant production and maintenance operations. Assist with training and high-level fault finding. Perform plant development projects. Drive safety initiatives allocated too.
Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles regulations processes systems
procedures and practices.
Expert knowledge of general maintenance processes and systems.
Project and contractor management.
Good understanding of plant processes and procedures.
Coaching of artisans.
Auditing as required
Communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. RCA
Provide Technical Support and guidance to the teams.
Attention to detail.
Able to work under pressure.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work in hot and cold environments in confined spaces and work at heights.
Ability to work standby and shift work as and when required
Expert knowledge of hydraulic system and rotating equipment
Suitable candidate will be required to perform other duties that are related to the function as
prescribed by business requirements
Drives License
Minimum: N6 National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent: National Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 Years of experience in a steel environment
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Computer literate and SAP System(advantageous)
