Description

YWCA Dayton a 24-hour organization committed to eliminating racism and empowering women is seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Manager. This exempt-level position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week including occasional evenings and weekends. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall management of clinical care daily operations and service delivery across YWCA Daytons Domestic Violence Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs. This role ensures that all services are trauma-informed and survivor-centered in alignment with YWCA Daytons mission to eliminate racism empower women and promote peace justice freedom and dignity for all. Key responsibilities include providing supervision and clinical oversight to shelter and housing staff ensuring high-quality care regulatory compliance and a safe supportive environment for survivors and their families. The Clinical Manager also serves as a liaison to community partners fostering collaborative relationships.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Management

Provide day-to-day management and oversight of shelter operations ensuring smooth coordination of services and adherence to policies and procedures.

Supervise coach and evaluate clinical and advocacy staff fostering a culture of accountability teamwork professional growth and trauma-informed practice.

Ensure adequate staffing coverage for a 24/7 shelter including scheduling and crisis back-up support.


Clinical & Program Oversight

Provide clinical supervision and support for case managers and advocates in alignment with Ohio CSWMFT Board requirements.

Oversee intake comprehensive assessments trauma-informed safety planning and individualized service plans for shelter residents.

Implement evidence-based trauma-informed care models that address the complex needs of survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Monitor client progress program outcomes and ensure proper documentation in case management systems.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with state federal and funder regulations including licensing reporting and grant requirements.

Monitor adherence to organizational policies confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines.

Lead continuous quality improvement efforts including data collection outcome evaluation and program enhancements.


Collaboration & Community Engagement

Partner with internal departments (housing legal advocacy clinical services) to coordinate holistic support for survivors.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with external agencies law enforcement healthcare providers and community organizations.

Represent YWCA Dayton in community meetings coalitions and professional networks related to domestic violence and trauma-informed care.

This position is in house only Monday Friday (occasional evening and weekends may be required) and not remote at this time. YWCA Dayton operates 24/7 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts standard operation hours are 8:00am 5:00pm. Applicants must be local with easily accessible transportation. All employment is decided on the basis of competencies qualifications merit and business need.


Requirements

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Strong leadership and staff development skills.

Knowledge of trauma-informed practices crisis intervention and domestic violence dynamics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities remain calm under pressure and model compassionate survivor-centered care.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required

LPC (licensed Professional Counselor) or LSW required LPCC preferred (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor); preferred LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

Bachelors degree in social work Counseling Psychology or related field. Masters degree preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in domestic violence crisis intervention or trauma-informed care settings.

At least 2 years of supervisory or program management experience.

Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and practices.
