At Jumbo we are currently building a new specialized team fully dedicated to delivering campaign results for our advertisers quickly efficiently and accurately. This team was created from a strong business case that directly contributes to achieving our ambitious data goals within Retail Media. As a Data Analyst you will play a key role in developing a user-friendly web interface that gives advertisers easy real-time access to their campaign this role you will be the crucial link between raw data and valuable business insights.

Beyond building this interface you know exactly how to analyze structure and model complex data sources into clear actionable dashboards. You understand how data sources differ and more importantly how to combine them into new insights that deliver direct value. Working closely with business stakeholders you translate complex data into concrete insights and recommendations that help advertisers make better data-driven decisions.

Together with a multidisciplinary team you will work on the development of the new Data Portal for Jumbo Retail Media taking our data-driven services to the next addition you will collaborate continuously with other teams across Jumbo to make data more accessible and useful throughout the doing so you will directly contribute to the further digitalization and innovation of our business. Construction of this new environment begins this year with a planned go-live in summer 2026.

Because all required data is available in-house we are not dependent on external parties. After the initial launch we will continue to develop and expand the platform to further achieve and exceed our Retail Media ambitions.

The new Agile team you will join will consist of a Product Owner two Data Engineers a Backend Developer a Frontend Developer a QA Engineer and a UX Designer. Together you will form a close-knit multidisciplinary team where collaboration technical expertise and business knowledge come together.

As a Data Analyst you will also be part of the broader Customer & Assortment department where disciplines such as customer behavior assortment media and data-driven decision-making converge.

In addition you bring the following:

• A completed bachelors or masters degree in data marketing or a related field
• At least 46 years of experience in a similar data-focused role
• Experience defining initiating and executing complex data analyses
• Familiarity with terms such as Data Modeling Data Management Data Warehousing Tag Management and Machine Learning
• Strong analytical problem-solving creative results-driven and teamwork skills
• Experience with Python R and SQL
• Extensive knowledge of DBT PowerBI Databricks and Azure
• Experience with other cloud platforms is a plus

Apart from these essential qualities were looking for it would be a great advantage if you also have experience in the advertising world for example in digital analytics (retail) media or at an agency. You have understanding of media metrics audiences and user behavior and you know how to translate those insights into actionable models dashboards and reports. Communicating with advertisers and speaking their business language is desired as is collaborating with internal stakeholders such as media advisors ad operations and campaign project managers.

Were looking for someone who is curious eager to learn and easily adapts to new systems. You feel comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and are open to collaboration and coaching. You communicate clearly think in solutions and like to take initiative. Excellent English skills are essential and Dutch is a plus although its only required occasionally.
