Job Description
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of outpatient surgical services.
- Provide leadership coaching and support to nursing and clinical staff.
- Ensure safe high-quality and cost-effective patient care.
- Coordinate scheduling staffing and daily workflow of surgical services.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies standards of care and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements.
- Participate in staff hiring orientation training and evaluations.
- Ensure proper use of supplies equipment and resources.
- Lead initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and staff engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2 years of recent acute care leadership in Surgical Services (required).
- 3 5 years of staff nurse experience in operating room or other surgical areas (required).
- Prior management experience preferred or demonstrated ability to serve in a leadership role.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Active TX RN License or RN Compact State License (required).
- BLS from approved HCA vendor (required).
- ACLS from approved HCA vendor (must be current or obtained within 6 months of hire then maintained).
- PALS from approved HCA vendor (must be current or obtained within 6 months of hire then maintained).
