Job Summary

Registered Nurse- Med-Surg (Day Shift)

Location: Palatka FL 32177
Shift: 12-hr Day 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the nursing process.
Monitor record and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess plan implement or evaluate patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate detailed reports and records.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and nursing procedures.
Respond to emergency situations using appropriate critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Med-Surg RN experience is required.
Certifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Additional certifications (e.g. ACLS PALS) are a plus.
