Location: Santa Fe NM 87505

Shift: 10 HR Days 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Position Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe high-quality patient care before during and after surgical procedures. This role is ideal for nurses with OR experience who want to join a supportive patient-focused surgical team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
Assess patients pre-op and ensure safety throughout procedures
Assist surgeons during operations and anticipate their needs
Document nursing care and patient responses accurately
Follow infection control and aseptic techniques
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
Respond to intraoperative emergencies
Ensure proper equipment use and maintenance
Support smooth patient transition to recovery room
Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Licensure/Certification:

Current New Mexico RN license or Compact State RN license (required)
BLS Certification (required within 2 weeks of hire)
Additional certifications as required by the department to be obtained within 6 months of hire. If held at the time of hire certifications must be maintained.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience is required.
