Acting General Manager Mackay

About the role

selectability is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to cover the role of general manager - Mackay from 20 October2025 to 2 November 2025. This leave coverage role requires an individual with strong leadership skills strategic thinking and a commitment to improving mental health services.

The acting general manager will work closely with the executive team stakeholders and community partners to ensure that selectabilitys services are accessible innovative and align with the diverse needs of the acting general manager will be responsible for overseeing operations across Mackay Bowen and Sarina.

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

• ability to build and maintain relationships with employees stakeholders and community members
• excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills
• highly developed analytical problem solving and numerical skills including the ability to compile analyse data and prepare reports
• a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
• a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required

Role requirements

• relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology social work mental health or a related field (highly desirable)
• demonstrated experience in mental health NDIS and community services (highly desirable)
• a current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
• a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
• a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability or obtain)
