Were seeking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Civil Precast Operations based out of our Ranui Yard in Auckland Region.

Its a great time to join our Civil & Precast business weve got plenty of work we have a positive future pipeline of work and we are in growth-mode.

Our Civil division specialises in Infrastructure Construction based around Reinforced Concrete. We re currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants and Storage Tanks and Pipelines.

The Precast Project Engineer plays a key role in overseeing manufacturing operations and managing financial performance. You will lead and support the Precast division to ensure its operations are efficient effective and profitable. Through strong leadership and strategic management you will drive the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients while fostering a culture where your team consistently performs at its best.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Manage the teams and sub-contractors within your area and coordinate with other teams to ensure optimisation of resources and efficiency
  • Management & monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure profitability
  • Manage and direct contract administration understanding contractual requirements and expectations
  • Work closely with manufacturing staff and set performance expectations to ensure staff are utilise to their full potential and productivity is maximised
  • Manage associated plant and maintenance thereof
  • Assist wider team with the compiling of tender information
  • Lead mentor and develop branch staff to achieve performance objectives
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback to team members
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety standards
  • Ensure forward planning and procurement of subbies/material/plant/people to eliminate down time in the yard
  • Build and manage strong relationships with clients and other key stakeholders ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

Were looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 5 years operational experience (preferably within precast or construction/civil industry)
  • Proficiency in using CCS Candy for Planning & Estimating
  • Hold a relevant degree in Engineering qualification is preferred
  • Hold a Current class 1 drivers licence
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Good in problem-solving and strategic thinking
