An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Improvement Leader (Teaching and Learning Coach) to join Birmingham Adult Education Services Quality Improvement Team. BAES is the largest local authority Adult Education provider in the country and works with around 7000 learners annually. BAES was rated Good by Ofsted in 2024 and now aims to deliver an excellent experience to all learners.
The Quality Improvement Leader role consists of coaching teachers delivering staff training carrying out learning walks observations leading on departmental deep dives of classroom practice facilitating communities of practice and good practice sharing events.
Suitable applicants will have a successful track record of teaching both online and onsite excellent interpersonal skills a successful track record of giving constructive feedback to promote improvements great team-working skills passion and enthusiasm for teaching strong administrative skills and well- developed IT skills for use both in and out of the classroom. You will have experience of delivering staff training coaching or supporting staff and observing teaching learning and assessment. You will be working closely with the existing Quality Improvement Team. Your teaching subject specialism could be English Maths ESOL IT and Business Modern Foreign Languages SEND Health and Social Care or SEND.
This is an onsite role as we run the vast majority of our courses onsite. The role requires some flexibility i.e. the ability to work some evenings if needed and the ability to travel to multiple BAES venues. We pay travel expenses between sites.
