Job Description
This role involves supporting efforts to optimize traffic flow enhance system performance and ensure scalable and secure network operations. It requires a foundational understanding of networking proficiency in programming languages such as C and Go and experience with Kubernetes Kubernetes CNI IPAM and Service Mesh management.
Responsibilities
Support Traffic Management Solutions: Assist in the design development and maintenance of solutions to manage network traffic efficiently.
Optimize Network Operations: Contribute to improving efficiency and performance.
Develop High-Performance Applications: Utilize C and Go to support the creation of robust applications.
Manage Scalability on Kubernetes: Help deploy and oversee scalable systems focusing on Kubernetes CNI IPAM and Service Mesh management.
Implement CI/CD Processes: Integrate and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to ensure efficient development and deployment workflows.
Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and learn from senior engineers.
Contribute to Open-Source Projects: Participate in projects to keep eBay at the forefront of technology.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related fields.
Experience: 5 years in networking and traffic management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in C and Go Kubernetes Kubernetes CNI and IPAM management.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Envoy for traffic management.
Contributions to open-source projects.
Relevant certifications and experience in medium-scale environments.
