About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Perl Developer to join our team and contribute to the design development and maintenance of scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Perl scripting strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain applications and scripts using Perl.
- Enhance debug and optimize existing Perl codebases.
- Integrate Perl solutions with databases APIs and third-party tools.
- Develop automation scripts for process efficiency.
- Collaborate with QA DevOps and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Write clean efficient and well-documented code.
- Monitor troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Perl programming and scripting.
- Experience with regular expressions file handling and text processing.
- Good knowledge of database technologies (MySQL PostgreSQL or Oracle).
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with version control systems (Git SVN etc.).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML JavaScript CGI modperl).
- Exposure to API development/integration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
