About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Perl Developer to join our team and contribute to the design development and maintenance of scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Perl scripting strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain applications and scripts using Perl.
• Enhance debug and optimize existing Perl codebases.
• Integrate Perl solutions with databases APIs and third-party tools.
• Develop automation scripts for process efficiency.
• Collaborate with QA DevOps and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Write clean efficient and well-documented code.
• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Perl programming and scripting.
• Experience with regular expressions file handling and text processing.
• Good knowledge of database technologies (MySQL PostgreSQL or Oracle).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with version control systems (Git SVN etc.).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML JavaScript CGI modperl).
• Exposure to API development/integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
