Job Description

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Manage migrate and update SQL databases including creating relationships indexes keys and handling backend data operations.
  2. Understand and migrate legacy Microsoft Access databases including front-end forms and back-end updates.
  3. Handle large datasets for cleaning and transformation removing duplicates normalizing data and integrating across systems.
  4. Optionally work with Adobe Forms as a replacement for Wufoo.
  5. Automate data flows from forms to databases or dashboards using Power Automate or equivalent.
  6. Gather requirements document workflows and create functional specifications.
  7. Identify inefficiencies in manual processes and design automated streamlined solutions.
  8. Translate operational needs into actionable KPIs metrics and visualizations.
  9. Debug slow or failing systems and track down data issues across multiple sources.
  10. Work closely with departments such as Operations Accounting Properties TSA Concessions CMMS Airside IT and external vendors.
  11. Explain technical solutions in non-technical language to end-users.
  12. Coordinate with external consultants and vendors for system implementation.
  13. Understand and handle restricted or sensitive data (e.g. airport security TSA data) in compliance with security protocols.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Database & Data Management
  • SQL Server: Ability to manage migrate and update SQL databases including creating relationships indexes keys and handling backend data operations.
  • Microsoft Access: Understand legacy Access databases front-end forms and back-end updates; ability to migrate Access data to SQL/modern platforms.
  • Data Integration / APIs: Experience connecting multiple systems via APIs automated data feeds.
  • Data Cleaning & Transformation: Handling large datasets removing duplicates normalizing data integrating data across multiple systems.
  1. Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Power BI: Strong skills in building dashboards KPIs automated reports filtering slicers drill-through and using service accounts/gateways.
  • TIC (Toad Intelligence Central): Experience building scheduled and parameterized reports.
  • Excel / Advanced Excel: PivotTables formulas macros/VBA connecting to external databases for reporting.
  1. Forms & Data Collection Tools
  • Microsoft Forms & Canvas / Power Apps: Ability to design interactive forms collect data from multiple users handle attachments and integrate with SQL/Power BI.
  • Adobe Forms: Optional experience as replacement for Wufoo.
  • Process Automation: Experience using Power Automate or equivalent to automate data flows from forms to databases or dashboards.
  1. Analytical & Project Skills
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Ability to understand user needs document workflows create functional specifications.
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in manual processes and design automated streamlined solutions.
  • Dashboard & Metrics Design: Translate operational needs into actionable KPIs metrics and visualizations.
  • Problem-Solving / Troubleshooting: Debugging slow or failing systems tracking down data issues across multiple sources.
  1. Communication & Collaboration Skills
  • Work closely with multiple departments: Operations Accounting Properties TSA Concessions CMMS Airside IT and external vendors.
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in non-technical language to end-users.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and vendors for system implementation.
  1. Security & Compliance Awareness
  • Understanding of restricted or sensitive data handling (airport security TSA data)

Desirable Skills:

  1. Project Management Experience: Experience with Jira/other ticketing systems for tracking
  2. implementation tasks.
  3. Change Management / Training: Ability to train staff on new systems and ensure adoption.
  4. Attention to Detail: Managing multiple reports dashboards and manual processes without errors.
