Your part in St Andrews War Memorial
As part of our Cardiothoracic / Vascular team you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. Youll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrates application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management.
- Applies sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health.
- Effectively exchanges information regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
- Achieves optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care.
- Achieves optimal patient outcomes through appropriate allocation of staff and delegation of work and uses effective communication skills.
- Exercises authority through appropriate decision making.
- Utilises customer service principles to exceed customer expectations.
- Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow consistent with the above and within the scope of the position and any other legal or industrial obligations.
What makes a difference for us
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent
- Current AHPRA practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster
- A commitment toward the mission of UnitingCare Hospitals and the attainment of the goals of the Nursing Division.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- Prepared to comply with and uphold the terms and conditions of employment for nursing staff as per the relevant UnitingCare Health Enterprise Agreement.
