About the Role:
We are seeking a Pension Analyst to join our Merged Plans team and support the day-to-day administration of the CAAT Pension Plan. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys working with data systems and people to deliver exceptional pension services.
The Pension Analyst plays a key role in processing member transactions supporting third-party administrators and ensuring compliance with plan provisions and legislation.
Please Note: This is a contract role ending in February 2027.
As the Newest Member of our Team Youll:
Process purchase requests payments and member transactions (e.g. terminations retirements survivor benefits transfers buybacks estimates).
Review and support transactional activities handled by third-party administrators.
Update member data and calculate entitlements based on plan rules and legislation.
Prepare and communicate pension transfer letters costings and option documents.
Use workflow tracking tools to meet service standards.
Respond to member and employer inquiries via phone email and walk-ins.
Liaise with client service representatives to resolve complex inquiries.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Plan text legislation and internal policies.
Participate in structured training and cross-functional collaboration.
Support audit activities and quality processes.
Identify and contribute to process improvements and documentation updates.
Provide subject matter expertise to projects and tasks as needed.
To Succeed You Bring:
College Diploma or University Degree; CEBS PPAC or CBP designation preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration or with an outsourcing service provider.
Strong understanding of pension administration systems and plan texts.
Proficiency in processing member transactions and using Microsoft Excel.
Analytical mindset with mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving time management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
