Description
Background Information
  • This role designs optimizes and aligns business processes with Patients Before Paperwork (PB4P) objectives focusing on continuous improvement.
  • The senior Business Analyst guides teams in gathering and documenting requirements for Ontario Health Digital Excellence products ensuring best practices in analysis solutioning and client negotiations.
  • Responsibilities include prototyping solutions supporting the systems development life cycle validating implementations and serving as a liaison between management architecture development quality and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • The role emphasizes people-centric efficient and adaptable processes that meet provincial standards stakeholder engagement iterative improvement through metrics and feedback and staying current with trends in experience design and business architecture.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with management in the definition of Product Vision.
  • Decomposes the product vision and high-level business requirements into functional user requirements.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the product and its logical architecture policy procedures and standards.
  • Develop backstage process maps - identify people processes tools and map how they support Customer Experience (CX) outcomes; match backstage maps to frontstage maps being developed by CX Leads
  • Support evaluation mapping to action user insights and ongoing user feedback through closed and open loop processes
  • Leads identifying operational gaps and support mitigation strategies that will help better align to the desired customer experience
  • Propose decisions where results have critical impact across the organization requiring sophisticated solutions and long-term correction.
  • Lead and implement change within the product and team practices across software lifecycle (SLC)
  • Anticipates project bottlenecks and blockers in short-term and long-term product roadmaps. Works with multiple departments to overcome these challenges.
  • Independently engages and actively participates in team discussion with other internal product management teams to recommend product features and changes to product features to improve the user experience operation and maintainability of the product.
  • Provides application specific expertise and knowledge about the architecture and the direction of the business in order to collaborate in writing RFPs and feasibility studies.
  • Leads sprint planning sessions to clarify the details of the sprint items and provide clear and concise acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Acts as the authoritative source for all requirements.
  • Elicits requirements using a variety of formats and techniques including interviews document analysis workshops storyboards surveys site visits business process descriptions use cases scenarios event lists and competitive product analysis.
  • Leads requirements analysis and verification ensuring that requirement statements are complete consistent concise comprehensible feasible unambiguous and verifiable.
  • Documents non-functional requirements such as security privacy legal and maintainability.
  • Conducts impact analysis for the product on internal and external stakeholders and systems including communication plans to ensure buy-in and awareness of the product release.
  • Collaborates with the Dev QA and UX Design teams in an agile fashion.
  • Trains and supports business and clinical staff on the use and integration of technology with business processes.
  • Actively works with the team to ensure a consistent approach to executing work assignments. Ensures the teams lines of communication remain open and actively seek feedback to continuously improve team dynamics.
  • Mentors colleagues by recognising areas where they lack knowledge or process understanding helping them enhance their feature development efficiency.
  • Leads product integration initiatives and collaborates with other cross-functional teams in delivery of tasks/projects.

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Health-related fields Engineering Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of experience with formal requirements elicitation analysis techniques process design re-engineering and implementation.
  • 7 years of experience in Product Management and Information Technology Business Analysis.
  • 7 years of experience in project management and/or vendor management.
  • Hands-on involvement in healthcare integration initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of documentation tooling such as Confluence Wiki or similar tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of project delivery practices in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Process Mapping Techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC.
  • Knowledge of user centric design and innovation.
  • Expert knowledge of Business Domain specific to their product area.

  8. Direct experience integrating healthcare systems and processes which is essential for aligning with Ontario Healths digital transformation and interoperability goals.

Deliverables
Deliverables Include but are not limited to:
  • Support the development and design of an Ontario Health agreements process for Provincial Products and Services
  • Create and implement customer experience strategies for intake and agreements workflows; maintain capability maps and roadmaps to drive digital transformation and enable cross-functional teamwork.
  • Support the development and design of an aligned user profile management tool to support streamlined customer experience in line with PB4P goals. and nbsp;

Knowledge Transfer Details:
  • The resource will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before end of engagement. Some of this might occur at the end of the engagement but will also be shared as information is obtained/consolidated. Key deliverables will be shared with team.
  • The resource must provide all related documentation as part of knowledge transfer protocol. Documents will be reviewed by the appropriate leads and signed off by manager/director.
  • The resource will work collaboratively with the Ontario Health team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables milestones and documentation are shared.
  • A walkthrough of any demos development etc. will be required before the end of the engagement.
