Job Summary
NP: Masters degree in nursing
PA: Bachelors degree in a health/science-related field
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing GI team working collaboratively on a team-based model that includes 2 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians in offering new services utilizing our state-of-the-art Endoscopy suite and enhancing our clinic with more exam rooms. With a plan to incorporate new programs that will enhance treatment options for acute and chronic GI conditions (including the esophagus stomach small bowel liver pancreas and colon) and expand availability for patient access.
- Casual (PRN)
- Clinical schedule Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am-5pm
- Provide initial consult/follow-up care in clinic setting
- 6-10outpatients per day
- No call coverage
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from 18 to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelors/Masters degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
Licensure/Certifications required:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in ND and MN.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in ND and MN.
- Current certification in CPR.
- National certification in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
