Job Summary

Summary: Longmont United Hospital is looking for a locum Gastroenterologist to help fill their May (single date) of coverage. ongoing dates will begin July 2026 when schedules are released Hospital coverage only no clinic.

BID DUE DATE: Wednesday Jan 7th at 5p EST!


RATES:

Malpractice Must be included in rates.

Orientation $250-$275 - half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours

On Call (Daily) $3650-$3995 - Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - $5475-$5992.50 - Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

Call Back $500-$550 Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

Holiday Call Back $750-$825 Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

    Schedule/Availability Requirements:

    • All shifts below end the following morning at 7a.
    • May 23-25
    • ongoing dates will begin July 2026
    • 24 hour call - 7a-7a - 30 minute response time.

    Details:

    • 24 hour call (7a-7a)
    • Setting: Inpatient Call Trauma Level III
    • FTE: 4.0
    • Required Procedures/Job Duties: Endoscopy GI Bleed Evaluation of GI problems.
    • EMR: EPIC
    • Support Staff: RN
    • Reason for Coverage: Limited coverage
    • Dealbreakers (Do Not Present): Must be able able to do 3 consecutive shifts at the shift times listed with in the job.

    EMR Required Training:

    • Credentialing Preapp and full app must be completed and submitted to move provider into applicant in training to generate AD account and begin EMR account set up. Once AD account creation begins it can take up to 5 days to create account.
    • Module (learn lessons) Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
    • EMR Virtual (PPL) training Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed at least one week prior to the providers first day.
    • First Day Details - Site requires completion of EMR Modules and training before first day details can be released.
    • All candidates must complete the following EMR questionnaire and detail it in the notes section of the candidates submission at time of presentation.

    Travel Preferences:

    • Preferred Lodging: Providers must be willing to stay at the Hampton Inn - 850 S. Main st. Longmont Co - . When booking they must reference Centura Health or LUH to receive the prenegotiated rate between the facility and hotel. Providers are required to book at the preferred hotel when room are available. If rooms are not available they must follow the CommonSpirit Health travel policy.
    • Air Travel: Local/drive-in candidates only - Highly Preferred
    • Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.


    Credentialing Information:

    • Timeframe: 30 days Temps / 120 days full privs
    • Credentialing with other facilities No
    • Requirements: Self inquiry NPDB report must be provided and CO license or Active IMLC to release preapplication.
    • Requirements: Preapp and full app must be submitted within 72 hours of receipt of initial app to allow enough time for AD account creation for EMR requirements. Once both are submitted provider is moved to applicant in training which initiates AD Account creation for provider EMR account and can take up to 5 days before release of EMR training requirements.
    • Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less: No

    • PPD: 1-2 - 24 hour hospitalist admissions team
    • Does the team have interventional Radiology IR is 8-4 M-F
    • What is the sites endo support if procedures need to be done in the middle of the night We have a call team for endo.
    • How many permanent GI physicians does the site have 1 perm GI currently
    • Would you be open to candidates who need to fly in with a lower rate No fly play if they cover their own that is fine.

    Requirement description :
    • Board Certified Gastroenterology - REQUIRED
    • Active CO License or Active IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - REQUIRED
    • Active DEA - HIGHLY PREFERRED - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA however must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment not just for shifts worked.)
    • Candidates Must be able to offer/work 3 consecutive shifts and provide coverage from 7a-7a - REQUIRED
    • Must disclose # of shifts per month ongoing - REQUIRED
    • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - REQUIRED
    • Candidates must detail all of the dates Jan-June 2026 they are able to help cover at time of name clear to be considered - REQUIRED
    • Local/drive-in candidates only - HIGHLY PREFERRED
    • Candidates must confirm they understand the preferred lodging site is a requirement when vacancies are available for booking and when not available they must follow the CommonSpirit Health travel policy - REQUIRED
    • Gastroenterology Fellowship - REQUIRED
