The Department Chairperson represents a dynamic and diverse faculty advocates for the department works with an advisory board of business professionals recruits students and faculty and manages department resources including fundraising. The Department currently includes 34 tenured/tenure-track faculty instructional assistant professors and staff and the Chairperson supports a culture that values shared governance inclusion and balance between effective instruction and scholarly research. The Department of Management is one of four departments in the College of Business along with Accounting; Finance Insurance and Law; and Marketing. AACSB International accredits the institution in both Accounting and 2025 the college enrolled approximately 3952 undergraduates and 278 masters degree students and the enrollment in the Department was 1337 students. The Department offers five areas for majors and minors: Business Administration Entrepreneurship Human Resource Management Organizational Leadership and International addition the Department offers a minor in Business Environment and Sustainability that draws students from the entire University. Graduate-level management courses are also offered as part of the M.B.A. degree program.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Chairs are paid at their normal faculty rate for 12 months. The salary range is $215000 - $221000 for 12 months.
1) an earned doctorate in Management or a closely related field from an accredited university
2) eligibility for tenure and a current appointment at the associate professor rank or higher within the department
3) a record of successful teaching university service and significant intellectual contributions
4) familiarity with AACSB accreditation standards and processes
5) for teaching positions state law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
1) Administrative experience at the college or university level.
Generally speaking 8 am to 4:30 pm (with one hour for lunch) Monday through Friday. Occasionally the Chair will be required to attend events on weekday evenings or during the weekend
