The Advanced Products and Solutions division of Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead a multi-disciplined engineering team supporting Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) products in a factory production environment. The individual must be self-motivated and will work with a cross functional team including engineering factory management program management and operations assembly and test. This position will be in the Surveillance Manufacturing Engineering department.
The work assignment will be manufacturing support of the Combat Systems variants produced in the McKinney TX Consolidated Manufacturing Center. This is a first-shift role with core hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required to support factory operations.
What You Will Do
Manage daily assignments and metrics to ensure engineering efficiency and timely responses
Lead a team to resolve technical issues improve test yields and reduce test cycle times
Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures identify root causes and implement hardware disposition solutions
Operate mechanical electrical and optical test equipment to support manufacturing processes
Investigate failure trends identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience supporting or developing an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) product in a production environment
Experience in leading a team of at least three engineers
Experience reading mechanical drawings and/or electrical schematics
Experience resolving issues with dimensional tolerances or testing and troubleshooting and documenting test results
Experience in leading root cause corrective action investigation

Qualifications We Prefer
Manage priorities on multiple tasks
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to address systemic issues
Familiarity with testing instruments such as oscilloscopes digital multimeters and power supplies
Basic electrical engineering knowledge such as understanding of Op-Amps Multiplexers ADC/DAC etc.
Basic mechanical engineering knowledge such as mechanical mechanisms (i.e. gears actuators etc.)
Basic understanding of optical performance in EO/IR systems
