The CLAP-TECH Centre (CTC) is now pioneering a new school-to-work learning pathway in Hong Kong leading from secondary school to tertiary education with multiple entry and exit points. The new pathway provides authentic learning opportunities and meaningful employer encounters including career mentorship workplace learning industry exposure and internships that complements the existing mainstream education system. The new pathway is built upon a tripartite partnership of secondary schools university and industry partners to foster talent development in information technology as the first track and creative media as the second track for demonstration. The Centre is inviting applications for the following position.
Programme Assistant ()
The appointee will perform a wide spectrum of administrative tasks to support the Director and Manager of the Centre.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating with external stakeholders (e.g. secondary schools university staff and industry partners) in organising student activities (e.g. mentorship programme);
- Handle the procurement-related activities of CTC;
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Project Team of the Centre;
- Assist in promotion activities and event administration;
- Handle the social media-related activities of CTC; and
- Perform other relevant administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor(s).
Requirements:
- A higher diploma associate degree or equivalent with at least 1-year relevant experience;
- Experience in student activity coordination and administration would be an advantage;
- Strong sense of responsibility and effective multi-tasking skills;
- Able to work under tight schedule;
- Good command of computer applications (i.e. Word PowerPoint Excel etc.);
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Flexible team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Self-motivated and positive attitude.
The appointee will be required to work beyond office hours or on weekends occasionally.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract from now on until 31 August 2026. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
