NYU Grossman School of Medicine an affiliate of Woodhull Medical Center is seeking full-time Chief of Cardiology to join our progressive and team-oriented medicine division at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Located in the heart of North Brooklyn Woodhull is a 400-bed Level II Trauma Center and a vital part of the NYC Health Hospitals network serving the diverse communities of Williamsburg Bushwick and Greenpoint.
Position Overview:
The Chief of Cardiology will provide strategic and clinical leadership to the Cardiology Division. This role includes overseeing patient care quality fostering academic and research initiatives mentoring faculty and trainees and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance cardiovascular medicine at Woodhull.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Cardiology Division with a focus on clinical excellence research and education
Manage and mentor faculty fellows and staff to ensure high-quality patient care and professional growth
Drive innovation in cardiovascular services and programs
Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to align cardiology services with institutional goals
Oversee quality improvement and compliance with regulatory standards
Represent the division in academic and community forums
Improve the efficiency of clinical operations including the non-invasive diagnostic cardiology services
Strategize to expand the cardiology services offered at the institution
Lead the educational activities of Cardiology division.
Qualifications:
MD or DO with board certification in Cardiology
Proven leadership experience in cardiology or related clinical setting
Strong track record in clinical practice research and academic leadership
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills

Annual Base Salary offered for this role is: $360000-$400000
403B/457 participation inclusive of a 10% employer contribution with no employee match required
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement ranging from $3000-$3500 inclusive of one week of paid CME time
Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30000 contingent upon meeting required productivity and compliance metrics
