Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Montreal QC
Duration: 18 Months
Responsibilities and Required Skills:
- Lead all project management activities for assigned mandates including major high-visibility deliveries with a level of complexity requiring increased leadership and political acumen.
- Contribute to organizing the delivery teams necessary to achieve set objectives ensure adherence to agreed-upon guidelines and help stakeholders maintain focus on high-value business priorities sometimes including the management of service agreements with external suppliers. You will be responsible for managing several teams working on parallel deliveries.
- Adapt your service delivery to often multi-modal contexts (i.e. with agile or Lean-Agile transformation teams with or without external suppliers or integrators or sometimes partially in a more traditional way). Therefore you must stand out with a capacity for adaptation and clear enthusiasm.
- Organize synchronize and lead planning follow-up and feedback events.
- Comply with the standards of the IT Portfolio Directorate (aPMO) and ensure teams apply the practices encouraged by the Centers of Excellence (CoE).
- Contribute to and help teams manage risks issues and blockers surrounding deliveries by anticipating and proactively addressing them then defining necessary action plans to facilitate execution.
- Regularly and transparently share global progress reports (assumptions delivered value deadlines costs quality risks issues major blockers progress and achievement of objectives and benefits).
- Establish resource and cost forecasts including the contribution of experts such as those in change management when required.
- Work in close collaboration and ensure good daily communication with: internal partners managers Scrum Masters performance analysts and IT portfolio managers in your sector.
- Exercise leadership to rally teams around a common vision and shared goals.
Prefereed Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
- Proven experience in managing complex IT projects.
- Experience in the insurance field and with cross-selling projects will be strong assets.
- Possess strong negotiation and conflict management skills as well as proven leadership.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical capacity and critical thinking geared toward solutions and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and experience using a planning and tracking tool.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Mobilizing and deliverables-oriented leadership.
- Ability to manage several parallel initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Technologies: Salesforce Mulesoft HubSpot (asset but not required). Must be able to understand the system and its challenges without having hands-on experience.
Methodology: Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) PI planning every quarter
Assets / Certifications:
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or higher
- SAFe RTE or PMP
