RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
In the prehabilitation clinic the project manager is in charge of a specific project or projects within the clinic. The primary project is the development implementation testing and launch of a prehabilitation software. As the project manager the job is to plan budget oversee and document all aspects of the specific project that he is working on. Project managers may work closely with upper management and staff to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule as well as other departments for support.
General Duties
Facilitate the translation of clinical requirements into software design activities development and clinical implementation
Participates in the implementation of study protocols and optimizes organizational and operational efficiency
Establishes priorities ensures adherence to study timelines and quality of output and provides timely study updates/reports
Prepares and maintains study documents and materials including ethics applications informed consent documents standard operating procedures tracking logs case report forms and newsletters.
Acts as primary point of contact and resource person for all centers resolves problems and instructs others
Assists with the creation of a centralized database maintains study records and ensures proper storage of data in the centralized database and oversees data collection at collaborating centers
Maintains strong working relationships with collaborating centers manages communication channels between research teams and coordinates central training
Monitors legal contracts and site agreements
Supervises other clinic members (research technicians PhD students MSc students undergraduate students and medical students performing research electives and medical residents) participating on the study
Trains team members in the use of the software
Maintains study finances including budget submitting payment requisitions coordinating invoices from collaborating centers if applicable
Ensures appropriate inventory and purchases equipment and material
Assists with subject recruitment and data entry. The project manager will be taught these techniques
Develops collaborative partnerships across various research constituencies within the Research Program including research teams investigators and external collaborators.
Excellent French and English spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
Must know/be trained for data entry systems: OACIS REDCAP
Must be able to deal with NAGANO and all entries concerning research approvals on Nagano
Must be able to operate with OFFICE 365 environment and Microsoft OFFICE
Must be able to conduct statistical analysis using R Python Stata and/or PRISM.
Status: Temporary full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $55692.00 - $103412.40. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Work Site: MGH 1650 Cedar Ave.
