The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified or board-eligible urologist with an M.D. (or equivalent) to join the department as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator (CE) Line. Subspecialty expertise is a plus as is prior practice experience. The successful candidate will be expected to treat all aspects of adult general urology in a community-based practice. This position will be located at Stanford Medicines East Bay Urology Clinics in Emeryville and Pleasanton and may include other Bay Area outreach sites. This position will be taking call at Tri-Valley Hospital in Pleasanton.
The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care teaching administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Individuals appointed as Clinical Assistant Professors should have demonstrated exceptional qualities and promise to become outstanding clinicians teachers institutional leaders and/or scholars. If these individuals have not had formal teaching experience they should have demonstrated a commitment to develop the skills necessary for outstanding teaching. They must have demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in a combination of clinical performance teaching administration and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need upon which the appointment will be based.

The expected base pay range for this position is $372000 $399000.
This pay range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all
components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation
