Director of Major and Planned Giving - Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting is seeking a talented individual to be a Director of Major and Planned Giving for Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting and its stations 90.5 WESA and 91.3 WYEP.

The Director of Major and Planned Giving is responsible for designing implementing and managing a comprehensive planned giving strategy and securing philanthropic gifts from individuals and families. Reporting to the Senior Vice President this role cultivates solicits and stewards relationships with individual donors families foundations and professional advisors to build long-term philanthropic support.

What youll need:

• 7-10 years of progressive fundraising experience.
• Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to prepare compelling proposals and donor materials.
• Knowledge of planned giving vehicles including bequests charitable trusts gift annuities retirement plans and life insurance gifts.
• Familiarity with tax law estate planning and financial planning as they relate to charitable giving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire influence and build trust with donors colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of managing a donor portfolio and meeting/exceeding annual fundraising goals.
• High level of integrity discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive donor information.
• Experience using donor databases/CRM systems.

Major role responsibilities include:

Planned Giving

• Lead the design and execution of a planned giving program including bequests charitable trusts gift annuities and other deferred giving vehicles.
• Cultivate relationships with donors prospects financial planners and estate professionals.
• Provide guidance on gift planning options to donors and colleagues.
• Ensure personalized recognition and stewardship for all legacy society members and planned gift donors.
• Ensure compliance with all legal tax and ethical regulations related to planned giving.

Major Giving

• Manage and grow a portfolio of donors capable of making philanthropic gifts.
• Represent the organization at donor meetings cultivation events and community functions.
• Partner with the Director of Major Giving fundraising teams and staff to engage donors and coordinate fundraising strategies and communications.
• Track donor interactions and progress toward fundraising goals in the CRM system.

Our compensation packages are generous. We provide competitive base salaries in a very affordable city. The minimum compensation for this position is $65000 commensurate with experience and ability.
