Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Government Auditing to join our dynamic accounting team in Oakland MD. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned public accountant with a passion for government audits and financial assurance to lead audit engagements and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation review and execution of government audits.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Guide staff by implementing firm policies principles and best practices.
- Utilize CCH Pro System Engagement software (preferred).
- Maintain Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements during off-season months including 80 hours of A&A CPE over 2 years with at least 24 hours of government-specific training (firm covers training costs).
Qualifications Must Have:
- 6-8 years of professional experience as a Public Accountant.
- Active CPA license.
- Proven Audit & Assurance (A&A) experience.
- Experience auditing financial statements and single audits.
Qualifications Nice to Have:
- Experience with CCH Pro System Engagement.
