As our Manager youll work with many of the worlds largest organisations fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the most complex deals in both the Oceania and global market across a broad variety of industries.

Ngā Pūkenga Skills and attributes for success

  • Manage and participate in SPA advisory engagementsfor acquisitions or disposals by private equity investors funds or strategic corporate clients. This includes working closely with clients their bankers and legal advisers and performing tasks such as cash debt and working capital analysis pricing schedule preparation and financial reviews of the SPA and Completion Accounts.
  • Advise clients on transaction mechanisms and financial analysisby providing insights on the most suitable purchase price mechanisms analysing financial results through diligence findings and interviews and supporting negotiations with clients to agree on detailed and compelling outputs.
  • Build and maintain relationshipswith internal contacts and external clients to develop a portfolio of high-value projects and collaborate with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to clients.

This role is based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Ngā Pūkenga Skills and attributes for success

Ideally youll have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Possess a bachelors or masters degree in accounting business finance or economics and be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants CAANZ or an international equivalent. Have at least 5 years of experience in a professional services or chartered accounting environment or in a financial performance and analysis or mergers & acquisitions role at a corporate organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop build and manage relationships with multiple clients and teams both external and internal. Experience working with senior stakeholders on multiple engagements in a Transaction Diligence role or mergers and acquisitions environment.
  • A keen interest in understanding businesses transactions and deal value drivers. Passion for client service excellence attention to detail and the ability to grasp complex issues and explain them clearly to non-accountants.

The salary range for this role is expected to be NZD 116000 to NZD 125000 dependent on skills and experience. This full-time role is for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
