Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Clerk located in Dallas Texas.
Reporting to the Materials Manager the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities.
Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
What a typical day looks like:
- Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers supervisor and purchasing department per company policy.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies over-shipments or substitutions.
- Stage received material and product in appropriate location.
- Create shipping and receiving receipts within system.
- Prepares products and bills of lading for shipments; stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
- Load and unload deliveries using forklifts dollies or hand trucks in a safely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving logistics or any related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving detail-oriented skills
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
- Familiar with cycle counting picking and posting and working with an MRP/ERP system
