Unison is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls accessories and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace Defense & Space segments. As a Lead Quality Engineer you will play a key role in reviewing product quality throughout the manufacturing process ensuring smooth departmental operations and driving successful planning and execution. Youll have the opportunity to work autonomously within established functional practices and procedures focusing on delivering results within a structured operating discipline. While some decisions may require your judgment youll have guidance and support to help you succeed.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage quality assurance activities within the production environment.
  • Develop implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and products.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and company policies.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in Aviation or Aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience with AS9100 quality management systems and standards including implementation compliance and auditing processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident U.S. Citizen have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e. a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
