Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance on MTR Buses in accordance with maintenance standards and schedule; and within budgeted costs so as to provide safe reliable and effective bus service and to ensure the compliance to operational objectives
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities in order to ensure bus service performance and availability
- Prevent repetitive failure and control the recurrent expenses by regular reviews of maintenance content and practices
- Carry out engineering projects for enhancement of bus services and maintenance efficiency plan and implement modification works purchase and install major plant facilities and equipment
- Maintain and monitor the performance of maintenance staff by providing adequate and relevant training frequent communication timely feedback and appropriate performance tracking
- Ensure effective and efficient emergency rescue works for buses safely and promptly by reviewing the performance of rescue team and rescue equipment and facilitating regular drills
- Manage contract out maintenance repair and miscellaneous services for bus by preparation of technical specification contract document and performing evaluation
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferrable
