Job Summary

Billing Director

Position Overview

We are currently accepting applications for full-time experienced Billing Director to oversee our billing department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and revenue cycle management ensuring accurate billing processes and compliance with industry standards. This role requires exceptional analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively to optimize billing operations as well as manage a team of billing professionals. This is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the billing team ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and relevant regulations in all billing activities.
  • Monitor the revenue cycle management process to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Prepare reports on billing performance metrics for senior management review.
  • Review claims to ensure payment and corrections as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in governmental accounting regulations that may affect billing practices.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in business healthcare or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in billing or accounting.
  • Two years in a supervisory role and the ability to manage motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of the healthcare billing process.
  • Experience in account reconciliation and corrected claims.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying discrepancies in billing records.
