Job Summary

2nd Shift Robotic Welding Operator (M-T 3:30pm to 2:00am)

A robotic welding operator is responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding machines that weld various metal parts. They also inspect the quality of the welds and troubleshoot any issues with the equipment or the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures ensuring proper part orientation and alignment.
  • Program and operate welding robots in accordance with company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and adjust the welding parameters.
  • Inspect the welds to ensure proper weld quality especially with regard to penetration fusion and appearance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any problems with the equipment or the process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as a robotic welding operator or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding principles methods and techniques preferred.
  • Ability to use welding tools and equipment.
  • Familiar with robotic welding systems and software preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Minimum physical requirements include lifting moderate weight up to75lbs standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work on a team and follow directions.
