Job Summary
The Office of Data and Analytics (ODA) at Nanyang Technological University Singapore serves as the central hub for institutional and student data. It supports internal stakeholdersincluding offices colleges and schoolsas well as external entities such as government ministries and statutory boards by providing timely accurate and comprehensive statistics.
This position is responsible for planning and executing operations within the Rankings Unit of ODA. The role focuses on delivering high-quality institutional data and benchmarking analytics to support strategic planning and informed decision-making across the university. Key responsibilities include producing reliable statistical reports managing data submissions for global university rankings and ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning collection and collation of multiple data streams from a variety of external (e.g. ranking agencies citation databases) and internal sources.
Maintain protocols to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Assist in analyzing data trends to generate timely analytical reports for senior management including synthesizing findings into clear presentations and supporting slides.
Develop scripts to automate existing processes to reduce manual effort and processing time.
Manage and co-ordinate reputation management process for rankings purpose.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering mathematics or a related field.
Preferably at least 3 years relevant working experience.
Proficient knowledge in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
Proficient with using databases and dashboard using QlikSense/ Tableau.
Proficient in analytical writing using statistics.
Able to conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using advanced software suites (e.g. Python/R SPSS) and high-performance computing systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Self-driven resourceful and excellent team player.
