An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join Birmingham City Councils Environmental Health team as Operations Manager (Food).
As the largest local authority in the UK Birmingham is an interesting and unique place to work with excellent opportunities for professional development created by the challenging and varied workload. This includes over 11000 food premises and 150 food manufacturers of which nearly 100 require approval. You will be joining a supportive friendly and professional team.
The successful candidate will be the Lead Food Officer as well as be responsible for a team of Environmental Health Officers and Food Safety Officers undertaking investigations conducting inspections and enforcing food legislation.
As Operations Manager (Food) you will have a degree/diploma in Environmental Health and be EHORB registered or a CIEH Registered Environmental Health Practitioner. You will also have the following skills and experience:
