Detailed Description:

The Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment Analytics Research and Systems is a strategic leader responsible for advancing the divisions data strategy analytics capabilities and enrollment systems infrastructure to drive institutional goals. This role provides actionable insights and partners closely with undergraduate and graduate admissions enrollment operations and campus stakeholders to support evidence-based decision-making.

A key priority for this position is guiding the modernization of enrollment systems and driving process efficiencies that improve the prospective student experience and allow teams to focus on higher-value engagement. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management the AVP plays a key role in shaping the future of enrollment strategy through innovation collaboration and data-informed leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Research & Analysis

  • Design and maintain predictive enrollment models dashboards and reporting tools that inform both undergraduate and graduate admissions strategy.
  • Lead efforts to assess and forecast new student enrollment trends using historical data market analysis and external benchmarks.
  • Identify new geographic or demographic markets using data-driven approaches to support recruitment targeting and planning.
  • Collaborate with institutional research IT and vendors to ensure consistent and actionable data flow and insights.
  • Communicate research findings and recommendations to senior leadership and enrollment stakeholders across the institution.

Operational Leadership & Systems Oversight

  • Provide strategic leadership for the divisions enrollment technology ecosystem including CRM systems (e.g. Slate Salesforce) application platforms and reporting tools.
  • Guide the implementation of an undergraduate instance of Slate as the institutions next-generation CRM ensuring alignment with institutional priorities best practices and student-centered outcomes.
  • Partner with enrollment operations leadership to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency scalability and service quality.
  • Oversee data governance system optimization and reporting functions to ensure systems are fully leveraged to support institutional enrollment goals.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and lead contract negotiations to ensure delivery of services that advance USDs strategic objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between admissions leadership (undergraduate and graduate) and data/IT teams to support strategic enrollment planning.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders on data needs for academic program planning enrollment targets and institutional initiatives.
  • Present enrollment trends projections and scenario models to a variety of audiences including cabinet-level leadership and academic deans.

Lead Generation & Vendor Strategy

  • Direct the institutions lead generation and lead management strategies leveraging internal data and external partnerships to identify high-potential markets.
  • Evaluate recommend and manage third-party partners and platforms that support recruitment pipeline development campaign targeting and data enrichment.

Transformational Leadership & Student Experience

  • Champion innovation and process redesign to improve the prospective student and family experience.
  • Collaborate across the division to ensure enrollment systems policies and workflows enable personalized engagement faster response times and seamless service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to reimagine staff responsibilities enabling team members to shift from transactional processing toward higher-value strategic and student-facing work.
  • Foster a team culture that emphasizes innovation continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Lead cross-unit initiatives and projects related to enrollment technology modeling and strategic assessment.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in data science education business social sciences or a related field required.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in enrollment research institutional research or data analytics in higher education.
  • Deep understanding of undergraduate and graduate admissions cycles data and operations.
  • Proficiency with statistical software and languages such as R Python SPSS or SAS.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases and query languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Experience working with CRM (e.g. Slate Salesforce) and student information systems (e.g. Banner PeopleSoft).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of data privacy FERPA and ethical data practices.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing enrollment forecasting or predictive yield models.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Posting Salary:

$10416.67 - 13333.34 per month; Excellent Benefits
