Job Summary

Interim Assistant Controller
Manufacturing South Houston Onsite 3 Month Engagement

We are seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Controller to support a manufacturing organization in South Houston during a critical phase of growth and stabilization. This is an onsite hands-on engagement with an initial duration of three months or longer with potential to extend.

This role is well-suited for someone who has operated in startup or private-equity-backed environments and can bring structure clarity and improved efficiency to accounting operations while remaining deeply involved in execution.

Key Focus Areas

Lead and improve the month-end close process driving accuracy efficiency and timeliness
Streamline and consolidate accounting processes and reporting
Prepare and enhance cash flow reporting and forecasting
Clean up and stabilize accounts receivable
Support full-cycle accounting activities from transaction-level work through reporting
Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements in a scaling environment

What Were Looking For

Experience in a manufacturing or similarenvironment
Background in startup and/or private-equity-backed companies strongly preferred
Prior experience in a similarly sized organization (approximately $100M in revenue)
Hands-on expertise across day-to-day accounting and close processes
Experience with consolidated financials and cash flow management
Syteline experience is a strong plus
Comfortable working onsite and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams
Ability to start immediately and deliver impact quickly
