Manager (Research Postgraduate Administration) ()
The Graduate School is committed to advancing the Universitys strategic vision by delivering exceptional administrative support for research postgraduate education. We are seeking passionate and collaborative team players to join our dynamic research postgraduate administration team and contribute to the continued success of our programmes.
Responsibilities:
Programme Management and Coordination
- Manage a team of administrative staff to oversee all aspects of research postgraduate programme operations and student lifecycle management including admission enrolment progression and graduation;
- Develop and optimise workflows policies and procedures to enhance the overall student experience and support the unique needs of postgraduate researchers; and
- Work closely with academic departments the Universitys research communities and other key stakeholders to strengthen engagement within the research postgraduate community and with external partners.
Student Support and Development
- Oversee the planning and delivery of research skills training and professional development initiatives for research postgraduate students;
- Provide planning support and lead the execution of assigned projects; and
- Analyse programme data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
System Enhancement and Data Management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the student information system and streamline workflows;
- Compile and analyse statistical data to prepare detailed reports that support decision-making and strategic planning; and
- Conduct data verification and maintain accurate student records to ensure compliance and reliability in programme administration.
Requirements:
- A good undergraduate degree is required. A research degree will be an advantage;
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in academic and/or research administration (preferably in postgraduate programme administration);
- Strong understanding of the research postgraduate landscape and the unique needs of research postgraduate students;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Excellent project management problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills; and
- Proficiency in computing applications particularly in managing databases and spreadsheets.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
