Specific Responsibilities
Trade Execution
Price quoting and execution to Asia ex-Japan and Japan clients via Sales team for US Investment Grade Credit Bonds during Asia time zone under the parameters and instructions from Trading book owners in the US.
Develop and expand relationships for the firm with key investor accounts in the region marketing in a Sales Trader capacity to expand MUFGs US Credit Franchise and increase flow in the region.
Risk Management
While Sales Trader will not manage own risk he/she is responsible in ensuring correct trade capture booking and settlement including back to back tickets between client facing entities and risk-taking entities.
Where necessary act as a back-up trader to risk manage other Asia trading books for holiday coverage
Business Development
Prepare and send out trading commentary or recap on US IG Credit flows
Support Sales in client expansion via client visits
Support US Credit Traders to achieve trading revenue budget
Provide market and Asia investor colour to US Bond Syndicate to support US primary issuance.
Qualifications
10y experience in Credit bond trading including time spent at a sell-side institution.
US IG Credit Asia experience
Knowledge and relationship of key investors in Asia Region.
