Qualifications - External
Education/Trade Knowledge:Highschool and one year of vocational training in the building trades including completion of a course in locksmithing and courses in carpentry welding and/or cabinetry. Requires knowledge of mechanical and electronic locking systems; processes and practices of the locksmith trade and carpentry; and building maintenance. Requires skill in use of computers and desktop software; reading and interpreting blue prints plans and sketches; interpreting manufacturers instructions and schematics; ability to look up items from a code book technical instructions or manufacturer data and interpret them.
Experience:Two years of building maintenance experience including one year as a locksmith.
Special Requirements:Drivers license; must be able to pass a background check.

The Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is the principal advisor to the Montana Adjutant General regarding all real property facilities construction and environmental management programs for the Montana Army National Guard (MTARNG.) CFMO manages the sustainment and recapitalization of existing real property and the construction of new facilities. The centralization of the construction and facility management expertise in CFMO enables the division to efficiently and resourcefully support the individual missions of MTARNG Montana Disaster and Emergency Services Montana Youth Challenge Academy STARBASE and Montana Veterans Affairs. CFMO manages over 1600 assets: roughly 2M square feet of facility space and 32000 acres of land.
CFMO is seeking a skilled Locksmith to support the department of Military Affairs and MT National Guard missions. This position serves as a Locksmithkey custodian and window gate and door repair technician.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Performs inspections maintenance repair and replacement services for access/entry locking devices doors windows gates at facilities throughout the state.
Responsible for installation repair and maintenance of a variety of keyed combination and electronic locking systems.
Assist with maintenance and repair on doors windows walls floors and other building features using knowledge of carpentry drywall and tiling and use of a variety of hand and power tools.
Assist other staff in performing general building maintenance tasks and snow removal.
Other duties include administrative tasks in support of the Facility Maintenance Office.
Must have demonstrated the ability to engage in diverse working environments within and outside the department.
