With Securities-Based Lending our private banking clients take out a loan with their securities portfolio as collateral. For our clients these are the cheapest and most flexible loans although they can be tricky as they leverage the portfolio which means that any up- or down turn is amplified. While ING has a high commercial ambition for Securities-Based Lending in the Dutch market they face strong competition and show rapid technological developments.
Your role and responsibilities
As Business control specialist it is your responsibility together with the Securities-Based Lending team to ensure that business risks are under control. This means that you pro-actively are in control of het full end-to-end risk process from identification to management of the risks to mitigation. You ensure that that the non-financial risks are within the risk appetite of the business and that they are identified with a transparent methodology. You will cooperate with the other members of the Securities-Based Lending team who are diverse motivated and each with a different expertise. You report hierarchically to the PBWM Securities-Based Lending Product Lead.
