Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Drainage and Wastewater (DWW) line of business plans builds operates and maintains Seattle stormwater and wastewater infrastructure and works with businesses and communities to prevent control and respond to pollution.


DWW is looking for a Drainage and Wastewater Area Planner who will be responsible for developing neighborhood-scale utility plans to solve drainage and wastewater system challenges and deliver community this role you will be responsible for both the technical planning and community engagement elements of plans that tackle a diverse set of issues and cover a variety of geographic areas throughout Seattle. The resulting area plans will ensure that future SPU investments achieve the Community Vision for Shape Our Water a community-centered plan for the next 50 years of resilient drainage and wastewater systems ().


About Seattle Public Utilities:Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is a community-centered utility that delivers vital services to Seattle residents and businesses including drinking water drainage and wastewater and garbage/recycling/compost. SPU also provides drinking water for 1.5 million customers in the region. SPUs work includes system maintenance and improvements and keeping Seattle clean. Over 1400 SPU employees work with our community to provide affordable and equitable stewardship of our water and waste resources for future generations.
