Human Resources Assistant/Coordinator Kahler Slater is seeking a HR Assistant/Coordinator who is detail oriented and people focused to support our growing firm. The HR Assistant/Coordinator role will work across all our offices to ensure smooth HR operations by handling the key administrative functions while providing excellent service to employees. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Process employment verification requests
- Orders and maintains required labor law posters
- Schedule interviews meetings and training sessions
- Prepare HR-related documents and reports as required
Recruitment & Hiring - Post job openings on internal and external platforms
- Coordinate candidate communications and interview logistics
- Support hiring managers with recruitment tools and materials
Employee Engagement & Culture - Help organize employee events wellness initiatives and recognition programs
- Assist with employee surveys when applicable
Payroll Benefits & Compliance - Process bi-weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll
- Manage timecards paid time off (PTO) tracking and reporting
- Assist with benefits enrollments for new hires qualifying events and open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance
Qualifications: - Associate or bachelors degree in human resources business or related field
- 13 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Represent the firm in alignment with Kahler Slaters core values
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g. Paycor experience a plus)
- Maintains discretion integrity and confidentiality of all information
