Job Description
We are seeking a stellar senior technical program manager to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazons Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology enjoys being continually challenged and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the implementation and improvement of tools and systems Kuiper implements to enable compliance with extensive compliance obligations. As a senior technical program manager you will work closely with compliance colleagues product management and engineering partners to deliver tooling and system solutions that support Kuipers compliance efforts across GSC.
You will collaborate with Kuiper engineering (software and networking) teams to implement and modify relevant systems. You will lead large-scope technical operations projects including implementing critical business initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
This position is based in Bellevue WA. Some travel domestic and international may be required.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
