Job Description

We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Senior GL & AP Specialist to join our dynamic regional finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy compliance and integrity of our financial operations with a strong focus on IFRS standards and Philippine tax regulations (BIR requirements). You will collaborate with supply chain regional finance teams and external auditors to support smooth end-to-end accounting processes. 

Key Responsibilities 

Accounting  

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules for Philippines subsidiary 
  • Support auditors and tax agents during audits and tax filings ensuring timely resolution of queries to meet statutory deadlines. 
  • Ensure appropriate accruals are recorded for unprocessed invoices in line with IFRS standards. 
  • Work closely with regional finance teams to reconcile intercompany balances at month-end 

Local Statutory Matters  

  • Ensure adherence to Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements including VAT withholding tax expanded withholding tax and other compliance matters. 
  • Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of document transactional data for inspection and internal/external audit. 

Accounts Payables  

  • Ensure all purchases are supported with purchase orders and goods receipt prior to processing of invoices 
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Warehouses to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies 
  • Record supplier invoices accurately and on time in compliance with IFRS and Philippine tax regulations.  
  • Ensure all staff claims and credit cards are supported with receipts and approvals in accordance to the Global Authorisation Matrix before processing 
  • Reconcile supplier statements of account and resolve discrepancies promptly 
  • Assist with the processing of intercompany recharges for the Asia team 
  • Assist in confirmations from third-party suppliers where applicable. 

Others 

  • Participate in finance-related projects and continuous process improvements. 
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc projects and assignment 

 


Qualifications :

  • Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Good understanding ofIFRS accounting standards. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine tax regulations (BIR filings VAT withholding tax). 
  • Confidence and maturity to act as the subject-matter expert for Philippine compliance. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications. 
  • Prior knowledge of SAP ERP is an added advantage. 
  • Analytical independent and detail-oriented with strong time management skills in a remote/hybrid work environment. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. 
  • Proven ability to handle a high volume of complex tasks accurately and efficiently 
  • Must be amenable to onsite reporting in Ortigas Metro Manila
