What youll do

Responsibilities

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the supervisor Danielle Bouchard the Project Coordinator facilitates the development implementation and management of a CIHR grant that includes four components: Attract Adapt Implement and Sustain. The program manager will work closely with our research and community partners to meet objectives.

  • Coordinate the delivery of research projects including managing students and external staff to meet objectives.
  • Assist in budget planning and manage the ongoing expenses process.
  • Supervise and collaborate with UNB students related to the project.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the other research coordinators in Winnipeg Oshawa and Charlottetown.
  • Plan weekly monthly and yearly meetings with the national group and provincial groups to move forward the project objectives.
  • Implement and monitor exercise programs related to the project with community partners.
  • Develop the evaluation frameworks reports and data collection tools (surveys questionnaires) to be used in interactions with project components.
  • Assist with the development and composition of a scientific paper/grant submission.
  • Prepare marketing materials to promote all projects through various media.
  • Manage the social media accounts and websites related to the project.
  • Organize networking events with funding agencies.
  • Assist with other ongoing research projects within the CELLAB as needed.

What youll need

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or Recreation Management.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in research project coordination/management

Additional Strengths:

  • Experience with seniors
  • Relevant work experience in managing budget and related expenses.
  • Relevant work experience managing staff students and volunteers.
  • Relevant work experience in community/patient outreach and engagement.
  • Experience working with REDCap.
  • Experience with data cleaning and analysis (using SPSS or other statistical softwares).
  • Analytical and critical thinking and the ability to solve problems.
  • Experience with knowledge translation and dissemination.
